Terms of Use
Hei Norway · Last updated 27 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Mapheim, who makes Hei Norway, a game where you walk to find and collect painted cards of Norway. By making an account or signing in, you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
Who can play
- You must be 16 or older.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; what happens on your account is your responsibility.
- Give an email address that is yours.
Play safely
Hei Norway is played outdoors, on the move. While you play:
- Watch where you are going and what is around you. Never play while driving or cycling.
- Follow the law and local rules. Don't go onto private land, closed areas or anywhere unsafe to reach a card.
- A card on the map is not an invitation or a promise that a place is open, safe or reachable. You decide where you go.
Fair play
Don't:
- fake your location, or use bots, scripts or a changed version of the app;
- use a bug to get cards or runes, rather than telling us about it;
- share, sell or trade accounts, or try to get into anyone else's.
We may hold back or remove what was got unfairly, and suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Cards, runes and the game
- The cards and runes in your collection are part of the game. They have no money value and can't be sold, traded or swapped for anything outside it.
- Hei Norway is being tested and keeps changing. We may change, rebalance or remove cards, runes and rules, reset progress during testing, or stop the game.
- The game is free to play.
Whose work it is
The cards, their paintings and stories, and the app are Mapheim's or used with permission, and are for your own play. The map is © Mapbox and © OpenStreetMap contributors; the app's icons are from game-icons.net (CC BY 3.0), credited in the app.
Your account
You can delete your account at any time: Profile, Delete account at the foot of the page. It deletes your account, your cards and your runes for good. We may close an account that breaks these terms; if we do, we'll tell you why by email unless the law stops us.
No guarantees
We work to keep the game running and right, but we provide it as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable or wrong. As far as the law allows, Mapheim is not liable for loss or harm from playing, such as where you went to reach a card. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't let us limit, or takes away the rights you have as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to you, we'll say so in the app or by email before it applies; if you keep playing after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where Mapheim is registered. That doesn't take away the protection the law of the country you live in gives you as a consumer, and you may bring a claim there.
